Designer Created Adobe-Inspired Chocolate Bars to Give to Potential Employers

When it comes to applying for a job, the competition can be fierce. It’s important to be memorable—and what better way than with food? Designer April Hansen created a delicious way for employers to remember her resume. Noticing that Ritter Sport chocolate bars were the same shape as Adobe Suite’s program icons, she transformed the packaging into Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign symbols. After she finished interviewing with a company, she’d leave them behind as a tasty forget-me-not.

To create this giveaway, Hansen replicated the instantly-recognizable icons, down to their copy and color. Then, she personalized them by adding short messages that highlighted her positive assets. The Illustrator symbol, AI, became “I always AIm to exceed expectations.” On the back of each bar was her contact information so employers could easily get in touch. It’s a clever (and delectable) riff on the standard thank you note.
