Ukraine-based designer and artist Hanna Dovhan is known for skillfully handcrafting adorable pairs of felted food. While her past creations were limited to edible creatures like smiling eggs and cheerful cherries, she has since expanded her collection of woolen works to include nature-inspired subjects, including pairs of plants and amorous animals.
Dovhan designs and fabricates the fuzzy figures using a technique known as needle felting. With this method, she is able to create a wide range of colorful sculptural subjects. Like her older creations, her newer pieces exhibit an interest in personifying various foods, from cuddling croissants to spooning chili peppers. Additionally, plants, animals, and natural wonders appear in her oeuvre, demonstrating her evolving and eclectic approach to the practice.
Dovhan sells her adorable duos, as well as delicate garlands and solitary stuffed animals, through her Etsy shop. Made by hand (and with lots and lots of love) each twosome proves that there’s someone out there for everyone—even foods, flora, and fauna.
Specializing in felt sculpture, artist Hanna Dovhan proves everyone has a perfect match with her adorable pairs of woolen foods, animals, and nature-inspired subjects.
