Wedding and lifestyle photographer Adam Opris turns moms-to-be into ethereal mermaids in his enchanting series of underwater maternity photos. Baring their bellies, pregnant women float and twirl about in the light-dappled waters, taking on the appearance of graceful sea nymphs dressed in rippling, gauzy gowns. The women’s radiant expressions and fluid movements capture their joy for life, as well as love for the precious life growing inside of them.
Opris, who grew up in South Florida, has practically lived in the ocean his entire life. “With that great love for water, I am bringing mermaids out of my maternity clients, told Bored Panda. “By embracing buoyancy and enabling these pregnant women to be free, I am creating magic to capture pregnancy in all of its glory!”
