The Hanging Tent Company has produced a suspended tent meant for those that might not want to camp, but will certainly glamp (glamourous camping). Called the roomoon, it’s a sphere-shaped, portable tent that hangs among the trees. This isn’t the first time that we’ve admired this type of structure; similar to the Tentsile, it means you can sleep high above the ground and closer to the stars.
Rufus Martin originally designed the roomoon as a project for school. He continued to develop the tent after the assignment was over, and now they’re available around the world. Its frame is made from stainless steel and is meant to collapse for easy transportation to camping sites or festivals. The floor is made from lightweight pine wood, and each roomoon is handcrafted and tailor-made to fit your specifications. Its minimalist interior includes upgrades like cushions, rugs, beanbags, and integrated LED lights. After the tent has been assembled, it’s hoisted upwards using a special pulley system where you’re sure to have an unforgettable experience in the sky.
