Illustrator and designer Jaco Haasbroek sees the world with a playful eye. As we have previously seen, the Cape Town, South Africa-based artist has a great mind for turning humorous words and phrases into hilarious illustrations. To create many of his signature works, Haasbroek first sketches out the ideas with pencil on paper. He then either directly colorizes the drawing or creates a digital version of the adorable little characters.
Haasbroek usually draws his objects and animals in a minimalistic, clean style which allows his viewers to focus on the humor behind the graphics. When asked about where he finds his inspiration, the artist says, “I like making observations, looking for connections and changing my perspective to try and fuel new ideas. If you don’t keep exploring you might find yourself running on empty.”
You can find many of his fun creations as t-shirts on Threadless.com as well as in his recently launched Etsy shop.
