Parisian street artist Julien “Seth” Malland calls himself Globepainter because his work has taken him all over the world. Most recently, he created a whimsical piece in his hometown of Paris, joining 50 of the world’ finest street artists in turning an old nightclub into an art gallery (see his piece above).
Last November, Malland put out a book called Extramuros that chronicled his life as a global street painter. As you can see, Malland takes the time to really get to know the local community before he creates a piece of public art. Sometimes, he even includes the locals in his photos. The book shows many of the murals he created within a three year period in faraway countries like India, China, Mexico, Indonesia and Vietnam. Below are some of our favorites.
