Capturing Simple Moments of Life in Four Frames

While fancy DSLRs are all the rage, you don’t have to pay big bucks to take creative photos like this. The SuperSampler is a small, lightweight, 35mm film camera that shoots four sequential panoramic shots. Just pull a ripcord, press a button and that’s it. The Supersampler shoots in two speeds – 4 photos in 2 seconds (.50sec/photo) or 4 photos in 0.2 seconds (.05sec/photo).

Flickr has a group just for Supersamplers with over 20,000 photos. You can read a first-hand review of the camera at Metacom Creative where Ryan, an amateur photographer, states, “This is a great camera for some fun shooting. The lack of settings makes it nice to just carry around and shoot without having to plan and adjust shutter speed, fstop, etc. The multiple lenses also provide a whole new element; the ability to capture motion and movement. Whether it’s you moving, the camera moving, or your subject moving, there are endless amounts of concepts and ideas. I love my Canon, but the SuperSampler is a nice change of pace.”

Here are some of the best action photos, taken with a SuperSampler, we found around the web. Enjoy!
