Film Noir Inspired Comic Book Superhero Posters

Macedonia-based graphic designer and comic artist Marko Manev has released a series of designs inspired by some of pop culture’s most revered fictional superheroes for his Superhero Noir Posters series. From Batman and Iron Man to the Silver Surfer and Wolverine, Manev captures the silhouettes of these fearless vigilantes perched atop skyscrapers and attentively on ground, surveying the perimeters of the city they’ve appointed themselves to protect.

While the artist’s previous comic book hero inspired set of posters presented a minimalist theme, this series has a black and white scheme, casting dramatic shadows through each frame. Laced in mystery, the posters mimic the basic aesthetics of 1950s film noir. Each of these heroes, no strangers to hiding in the shadows and engaging in their own sort of capers, fit seamlessly into Manev’s created noir environment.
