Intricate Origami Designs Made Out of Money

Hide your dollar bills when Korean artist Won Park is around or they may be transformed into tiny origami butterflies! Although after looking at all of these amazing designs, you may start handing over your dollar bills instead. This master of Origami can turn a single sheet of paper currency into all kinds of things, from living creatures like pigs, fish, and bulldogs, to tiny race cars and cameras.

The Hawaii-based artist first started doing Origami when he was six years old. As a form of entertainment when they couldn’t afford a lot of new toys, his mother would rip up old phone books and teach him how to create many basic Origami designs. Since then, Park has continued making this type of art–called Moneygami–for more than thirty years and has earned commissions to create custom designs for all kinds of publications including Wired magazine (UK), NEWSWEEK, and a variety of book covers.
