If you’ve always wanted to see works by: Jen Stark, Swoon, Kris Kuksi, Nate Frizzell, Mike Stilkey, Jill Greenberg, or Gregory Euclide up close and personal, then head on over to PULSE at the Event Deck in LA Live right now. Through Monday, October 3, you’ll get to see their works and more in a show where galleries from around the world bring out some of their biggest and brightest stars. Known for offering more affordable and accessible art than those found at Art Basel Miami Beach or the Armory Show in New York, PULSE aims to be at the forefront of contemporary art. Their annual shows, which has previously been held in Miami and New York, now descends upon the City of Angels.
Yesterday, during the press preview, Eugene and I had a chance to meet many of the faces behind some of the galleries we’ve written about right here on My Modern Met including Joshua Liner, ClampArt and LeBasse. In addition, we were delighted to finally walk up to actual pieces of Jen Stark’s paper art and see the vibrant colors of Jill Greenberg’s Glass Ceiling series.
Here are some of the works you can expect to find at PULSE LA this weekend. General admission is $20 and students and seniors pay $15. All in all, it’s a wonderful way to take in rows and rows of contemporary art all at one time.
