Underwater Shipwreck Art Gallery – Photos Released!

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about a spectacular underwater gallery that was created on the Vandenberg shipwreck off Key West, Florida. The exhibition, titled Vandenberg: Life Below the Surface, recently released the 12 digitally layered images that were used, all of which were taken by avid diver and professional photographer Andreas Franke.

At a depth of 93 feet, divers attached strong magnets from Franke’s photographs to the boat’s starboard side. To keep water out, the images are encased in 3 millimeter plexiglass and mounted in stainless steel frames sealed with silicone. No harmful materials were used in the installation of the exhibit.
