He made us feel like a city was a living, breathing being with his Urban Zoom series and now I’m convinced that Jakob Wagner knows of more magical places with his Fresh Snow series.
“Fresh Snow was taken on a cold, February winter day in Duesseldorf, Germany from my balcony,” he tells us. “I was flashing the snow with an external speedlite. With Photoshop, I changed the contrast and optimized the chromaticity.”
Like Navid Baraty’s Brooklyn blizzard photos, Wagner has that rare ability to make us feel like we are right there with him, watching the snow as it falls gracefully from the sky.
