Protecting Life at All Costs

I like to think that human beings are inherently good. Even through the worst tragedies, like the earthquakes in Haiti and China, or the floods in Pakistan and the Philippines, courageous souls come out from under the woodwork, saving the precious lives of those around them.

In this post, we celebrate these ordinary people who, under dire circumstances, became heroes. This includes the determined mother and father who would do anything to protect their child, the solider who risks his life to protect his fellow comrades, and the good Samaritan who goes beyond the call of duty to rescue absolute strangers.
