American illustrator, designer and author Lou Brooks creates retro comic art that touches upon today’s relevant topics. His polished pop art has been featured on the front covers of Time and Newsweek. Brooks learned to draw mostly by copying newspaper comics and cites comic books and television shows as some of his earliest sources of inspiration. Self-taught, Brooks is an avid reader who brings a storytelling style to his incredibly creative work. Most recently, Brooks released a book called Twimericks, a slim collection of lighthearted verse where Brooks fuses limericks and tongue twisters to create thirty “twimericks.” See preview pages of his book below, after viewing his clever retro illustrations.
