This is taking “green” to a whole new level. These park houses by Ushida-Findlay Architects have been granted planning permission and will be built in Preston, UK. These unusual eco-homes will share a wavelike green roof which covers five individual four-story homes as well as a common leisure space that will surround the complex. Strips of indigenous plants, set within furrows in the roof, will flourish to merge the building with the landscape, and attract local flora and fauna to the site. Special planning has been done to insure sustainable living, bio-diversity, provisions for natural light, the use of solar panels, and low carbon emissions. So cool how the architects are subtly integrating the home with the surrounding landscape and ecology.
